Julie VanDerVeen Van Til, Pastor

Pastor Julie has been growing as pastor, wife, mother, and follower of Jesus with this church family for the past four years.  Prior to The Community, Julie worked as a youth pastor in Illinois and a youth ministry professor at Kuyper College, but she now leaves the all-night youth events to her fun-loving husband Andrew.  Pastor Julie's enthusiasm towards Christ and love for people is apparent to all as she stretches our hearts and minds to consider a new way to live in God's world.

Bruce Menning, Associate Pastor

Pastor Bruce joined The Community in 2009 and brings a experienced and diverse background to the church.  Bruce has been a pastor at Covenant Community Church in Muskegon Heights, MI, and Trinity Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, MI.  Additionally, Bruce has worked in several different roles for the Reformed Church in America, most recently being Director of Global Mission.  His focus at The Community is on coordinating the Elders, Deacons and Ministry Teams.

Bruce's wife Vicky is also an ordained pastor in the RCA, and Bruce often speaks of his three children and two grandchildren.  Outside of the church, you might catch him in one of his many outdoor interests including gardening, biking, hiking and snowshoeing.
